Witness Examination

TheWitness Examination Competition requires individuals attempt to advance their side’s case by examining witnesses to adduce oral evidence. The trial runs from the opening statements, to the examination of witnesses, through to the closing address.
Witness Examination involves thinking on your feet, and requires little preparation.The objective of theWitness Examination Competition is to develop the competitor’s communication and critical legal thinking skills.

The Witness Examination Competition offers successful competitors with an opportunity to represent UNSW at external Witness Examination Competitions such as ALSA (Australian Law Students Association).

UNSW Law Society offers one Witness Examination Competition and all law students are encouraged to compete, regardless of which stage they are at in their law degree.
