LawSoc knows just how important it is to be a well-rounded law student. Socialising with your peers and taking care of your physical and mental health is crucial to surviving law school and what better way to do this than through sports! We have an array of exciting initiatives on offer for 2016.

Social Sport Competitions

The Law Society will continue to promote a culture of health and wellbeing within the law school through various social events. This year the weekly Arc Social Sport Competitions are a chance to show off your UNSW Law Society pride. Whatever your skill level, there’s a chance for everyone to get involved!

Beyond the regular social sport competitions, we have a number of exciting one-off sporting events. These include interfaculty sports events where you have the opportunity to duke it out against UNSW Business and Medicine Societies. We also have the annual UNSW v USYD Law Men’s Rugby and Women’s Netball competitions and the Intervarsity Sports Day against all the other Law Societies. Keep your eyes peeled for further information and get ready to show your UNSW Law pride.

Run Club with LawSoc

A fantastic way for everyone to get fit together, have some fun and enter a race or two! We are looking to challenge you to push your limits, make you sweat like never before whilst still encouraging you to have fun in a great environment.

The times haven’t been decided but get ready! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a certified couch potato or an experienced runner, were excited for everyone to push each other to their personal best.

There is full access to the YMCA Gym showers afterwards too!

Personal Training with LawSoc

This year we are introducing something new, the LawSoc Personal Training Program! A fantastic way for everyone to get fit together, have some fun and enter a race or two! We are looking to challenge you to push your limits, make you sweat like never before whilst still encouraging you to have fun in a great environment.

Every week on Mondays at 4PM in the Gym, we’ll have a certified personal trainer come in and help you guys get fit!
