The Law Society understands the importance of developing a well-rounded law student. Socializing with your peers and taking care of your physical and mental wellbeing is crucial to surviving law school and will help you make the most of your time here at UNSW.

In 2015, the Law Society will continue to promote a culture of health and wellbeing within the law school through various events and programs, including weekly social competitions for a range of sports. Whatever your skill level, there will be opportunities for you to get involved – if you’ve never played, come along to one of our ‘give it a go’ sessions at lunchtimes for a fun introduction to different sports. We will be adding to our successful fitness initiatives, such as weekly personal training sessions, with new wellbeing programs like yoga sessions to help ease the stress during assessment periods. Aside from these regular programs, you can also get involved in our exciting one-off events including the annual intervarsity sports day, in which UNSW students compete against other law students from around the state.

Joining in these activities will not only help create a physically and mentally healthier you, but also provides the perfect opportunity to have a fun break from studies, make new friends and overall have a more enjoyable law school experience. Getting involved is simple and easy – just shoot us an email at or keep an eye out for our events on Facebook and your UNSW email.
