Law Council of Australia’s Scholarships

Each year the Business Law Section offers three scholarships of $5000 to the writer of the best paper in fields of Competition, Corporations and Taxation Law. The scholarships are targeted to ‘early career’ legal professionals with less than four years of professional experience in the legal field of their paper. In the past winners have come from across academia, business and the government sector.

Availability: any Honours or research student who has previously written on a topic in one of the available fields.

Target Audience: Later year or Research students

ALSA Equity scholarship

This scholarship is designed to recognise and assist students who have a demonstrated equity circumstance affecting their ability to study law (including, but not limited to, gender, rural/regional location, extraordinary family commitments, sexuality, ethnicity, poverty, disability, or any other relevant circumstance.)

3 scholarships are available, each of $500 value.

 

ALSA Community Involvement scholarship

This scholarship is designed to recognise and assist students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving and improving their local community, while studying their degree. This scholarship has an emphasis on Australian programs, as well as programs operating on a local scale and/or in regional areas.
