2019 Cabinet Elections

Notice: Nominations are now OPEN for the 2019 Cabinet!

Notice is hereby given for the 2019 Cabinet elections to be held in Week 5 Semester 2, 2018. The Cabinet is the central governing body of LawSoc, responsible for the overall governance and financial management of LawSoc. Cabinet members are individually responsible for leading portfolios to run events, projects and initiatives for the student body, as well being collectively responsible for the Society overall.

The following positions will be up for election for a tenure commencing on 1 December 2018 to 30 November 2019.

Returning Officer
The Cabinet is pleased to reappoint Henry Robinson as Returning Officer for the election. Henry was Returning Officer for both the EGM on 7 May 2018 to fill the vacancy of Vice-President (Social Justice), and more recently the EGM on 26 July 2018 to fill the vacancy of Vice-President (Mooting). He was also Secretary of the UNSW Law Society in 2017. As such, he is eminently qualified and experienced in matters of student governance and election procedure. Nominee Information Session

August 13, 2018

When: Monday 13 August (Week 4), 1-2pm
Where: Law 101

Those interested in finding out more about Cabinet and the nomination process are encouraged to attend this session. The 2018 Cabinet will be available to answer student questions about their roles and portfolios. This information session will involve a briefing from the Returning Officer about election process and campaigning regulations. Any candidates who cannot attend the Nominee Information Session should specify so when they submit their nomination.

Announcement of the 2019 Cabinet-elect

Results of the Election will be announced on the UNSW Law Society website, the Brief and on relevant social media.
