Nominations are now OPEN for the 2018 Cabinet!

The UNSW Law Society Cabinet is the central body responsible for conducting all of the affairs, projects and initiatives of the UNSW Law Society. LawSoc needs motivated, hardworking, organised and passionate UNSW Law students to get involved and help execute the vision and goals of the UNSW Law Society for 2018.

The following positions will be up for election, for a tenure of 1 December 2017 to 30 November 2018.

Election Timeline

Nominee Information Session

September 4, 2017

When: Monday 4 September, 1-2pm
Where: Law 163

Those interested in finding out more about Cabinet and the nomination process are encouraged to attend this session. Cabinet 2017 will be available to answer student questions about their roles and portfolios. This information session will involve a briefing from the Returning Officer about election process and campaigning regulations. Any candidates who cannot attend the Nominee Information Session should specify so when they submit their nomination.

Candidate statements will be emailed to all Law Society members.

Candidate Q&A Session

September 11, 2017

When: Monday 11 September, 1-2pm
Where: Law 163

Interested in finding out more about the candidates running for the elections this year? Come along to this Q&A session to question their strategies and objective. Keep your candidates accountable and find out how they will serve your best interests.

Campaign Period

When: Monday 11 September 9am – Friday 15 September 5pm

Voting Period

September 13, 2017

When: Wednesday 13 September – Friday 15 September 5pm

Voting will take place online between Wednesday 13 September to Friday 15 September 5pm. You will be able to submit your vote from the individualised link sent to your zMail account.

Announcement of the 2017 Cabinet

When: Monday 18 September

Results of the Election will be announced on the UNSW Law Society website, the Brief and on relevant social media.
