Brain Awareness Day Event

Location: LAW101

The Law Society is excited to announce that it will be holding an event for Brain Awareness Day! Brain Awareness Day aims to:

(1) Spread awareness about how to cope with stress in law school and the resources available to students, and;
(2) Emphasise the importance of resilience and how this could be helpful in dealing with negative experiences

On this day, we will be holding a Panel Discussion with guest speakers who will be talking about how students can utilise effective study and mindfulness techniques to cope with the challenges of law school. The guest speakers include:

• Marie Jepson (Co-Founder & Executive Director of the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation)
• Associate Professor Jacquelyn Cranney (UNSW Researcher on Positive Psychology and Resilience)
• Thomas Spohr (Immediate Past President of NSW Young Lawyers Society)
• Marie Iskander (Vice-President (Education) of Australian Law Students' Association)

Exams are looming and you might feel the pressure, so if you’re looking for tips on how you can deal with the stress, come along to the event! Food and drink will be provided ☺

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Julianne or Stephanie at wellbeing.director@unswlawsoc.org ! We hope to see you there!

Keep smiling, everyone! ☺
