About the Law Society
The UNSW Law Society is the peak representative body for all students
in the Faculty of Law. Nationally, we are one of the most respected
student-run law organisations, attracting sponsorship
from prominent national and international firms. We were the first
student organisation to attract sponsorship
off-shore, with Allen & Overy and Linklaters, two of the world's
most prominent law firms becoming sponsors of the Law Society in 2001.
This year marks the seventh anniversary of our relationship with Allen
& Overy, and with a sponsor-focussed approach, we have also managed
to develop strong relationships with firms in other areas such as
management consulting, investment banking and accounting. It is our
approach that distinguishes us
from conventional student societies, one that our sponsors highly
regard and value and which has resulted in them continuing to enjoy
working with us.
