Lawkipedia is a publication for incoming first-year law students that introduces what the Law Society does and how they can get involved. The Publications division of the Education portfolio is looking for a team of editors for the first task of the year. Those interested in applying for the editor position in other publications (such as Poetic Justice, Alternative Careers Guide, Innominate, Law Annual, etc) are encouraged to apply, to develop skills in design, editing, liaising with other portfolios, and dealing with printers. There is no creative writing required as in Poetic Justice and the project is a great one-off way to discover whether you want to get involved in Publiations for 2009. Lawkipedia will need to be ready by Thu 19th Feb, so applicants are expected to be available over the next three weeks to focus on this project.
